In this year, I want to start a new life. Also, I want to change my bad attitude such as becoming selfish, not being true to others etc. These things are my attitude last year so I want to change it all. Now, I want to be a hard working student and finish my course to become a World Class Merchant Marine Officer and to help my family to raise. As a cadet on this Academy, I will show all my effort to pass this 4yr. course to board someday in NYK vessel.

The term you used in the 2nd to the last sentence is quite confusing ("...to help my family RAISE.") Improve your choice of words in teh next blogs.
